This update expands the Placeholders entry with two new sections: Purpose in Design and Types of Placeholders. These additions explain why placeholders matter in UX and outline common types like text, image, UI component, and skeleton screen placeholders.

The entry includes:

  • Clarification of placeholder purpose in UX workflows
  • Overview of key types used in wireframing and prototyping
  • Greater value for learners working with design systems
