Robotcode analyses the complete project how to configure

Hello,

is it possible to configure this analysis?
If i change one line in one file (e.q. add a space) all 3xx files will be reanalysed again taking 10 minutes. So VSCode Intellisense (?) is not usable.

Hi,

Have you tried "robotcode.analysis.diagnosticMode": "openFilesOnly"?
It is also possible to exclude files and folders from analysis with ""robotcode.workspace.excludePatterns".

Note that the analysis can be especially long if you have circular imports.

"diagnosticMode" is set "openFilesOnly".
I guess the analysis can't be shortened but I hope there is the possibility to trigger this analysis process manual.

I don't know of a way to disable the automatic analysis. But you can trigger it manually with the command RobotCode: Clear Cache And Restart Language Servers... The analysis seems to be automatically triggered when VSCode starts up, a resource/library is modified, or if VSCode settings related to RobotCode is changed.

There is the setting "robotcode.analysis.progressMode": "detailed" that will give you more information about the analysis progress.

Adding a "*" to "robotcode.workspace.excludePatterns" analyses the current edited file - this is done very quickly.
Changing to another file adding a keyword, change to another file trying to get Intellisense to list this new keyword: works!

I don't understand it fully.
Does the full run over 3xx files create some cached files which are used?
So in the beginning you need "robotcode.workspace.excludePatterns" without anything for a full run?
This full run is explicitly not needed if VS Code is restarted.
